Report of Delegate Meeting on Wednesday 31 July 2013

The Leeds Trades Union council discussed current local disputes at their last meeting on Wednesday 31 July 2013.

The Trades Council congratulated the CWU members in Leeds on a extremely well organised and well supported strike on Monday 29 July 2013.

The upcoming UNITE Blood testing staff strike in Leeds and Bradford to take place on 01 and 02 August 2013 was also discussed and members were encouraged to attend the picket lines to show their support.

The Demonstration to save the NHS in Manchester at Conservative Party conference on 29 September 2013 was also discussed and plans were made about advertising the event and coach transport.

The Third Ecletica event at Wharf Chambers in Leeds on Saturday 07 September 2013 in support of PAFRAS was also announced.

Finally Best wishes were expressed for Leeds Pride and the meeting agreed that the Leeds Trades Union Council banner should be taken to the event.
